One of the 'Jewels of Aromatherapy', Neroli is a deeply calming and comforting essential oil, extracted from the small white flowers of the bitter orange tree. Being slightly hypnotic and sleep inducing, Neroli brings welcome relief to insomnia, especially when used in a therapeutic bath before bedtime.
Neroli is associated with innocence and purity. It can be nurturing, reassuring, calming and especially useful before stressful events or after trauma or shock. The rich, floral aroma of Neroli essential oil lends itself to many ancient and contemporary perfumes. In fact, it was one of the original ingredients in the first Eau de Cologne of the 18th century.
