Bold, spirited peppermint essential oil, distilled from the leaves of Mentha piperita, has a powerfully penetrating menthol and herbaceous scent.

Peppermint can provide short-term relief of nausea from travel sickness, morning sickness, hangover and jetlag and is said to bring relief to headaches, nasal congestion and pain from gout or rheumatism. As with its relative Catnip, Peppermint is also said to be a feline aphrodisiac.

Direct inhalation of peppermint essential oil clears nasal passages and breathes new life into tired bodies, effectively increasing stamina for both the student and the athelete.

When combined with lavender in a cold compress, peppermint essential oil helps relieve headaches, and in a massage oil blend can help ease indigestion and flatulence.

Composition:
The main chemical constituents of Peppermint Essential Oil include: 1,8-cineole, beta caryophyllene, limonene, menthol, menthyl acetate, menthone and pinene.

Contraindications:
Peppermint essential oil is not compatible with homeopathic treatments. Should not be used in cases of epilepsy or heart disease. May cause wakefulness.
