Extracted from the juicy, cooling fruit of the West Indian native Citrus aurantifolia tree, Lime essential oil is a distinctively sweet and citrusy aromatherapy oil that is both lively and reviving to the senses.

In a skin or facial oil base, Lime is a cooling men's aftershave and can relieve the symptoms of catarrh build up, sinusitis, colds and flu.

Use this Essential Oil for:
 Vaporization; Massage Oil; Direct Inhalation; Therapeutic Bath; Aromatherapy Diffuser

Composition:
The main chemical constituents of lime essential oil include: 1,8-cineole, a-pinene, borneol, b-pinene, citral, geranyl acetate, limonene, linalool, mycrene, neral acetate.

Blends well with:
Clary Sage Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Lemon Essential Oil, Neroli Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil.

Phototoxic Effects of Lime Essential Oil

If this essential oil is to be used in a leave-on topical product (eg. body lotion, massage oil), the maximum concentration recommended by the International Fragrance Association (IFA) (bergamot, orange, mandarin, lemon, grapefruit) is up to 0.5%, depending upon concentration of terpenes.

For example, if you have 30 grams of skin lotion or carrier oil, up to a maximum of 1.5 grams of citrus essential oil is considered safe by the IFA*.
