Sensitive skin is usually highly reactive when it comes into contact with many different external and internal stimuli. Although all skin types can have sensitivities to certain ingredients, sensitive skin tends to be reactive to many different ingredients and is commonly characterized by:

- A thin, translucent appearance;
- Skin wrinkles prematurely;
- Skin feels tight after washing;
- Skin is reactive to many various products;
- Dry, flaky patches and broken capillaries are sometimes present.
