What Makes Alchemilla So Different?

Alchemilla (al-kem-il-la) was founded by Deanna Vazquez, a Horticulturist who trained in Naturopathy and Massage Therapy in Australia and her husband Brian, a UC Berkeley educated Molecular Cell Biologist. Together, they combined their knowledge, passion and experience to create the Alchemilla ultra pure skin care range.

Alchemilla evolved from an authentic love of plants and a fascination with their healing gifts, through almost 10 years of research and development, into what are now some of the purest, most effective plant based organic skin care products available today.

Alchemilla organic skin care formulations are prepared in-house with herbal extracts that we create ourselves using low temperatures and direct solar energy. We embrace and practice conscientious, environmentally sound manufacturing processes using as many local, sustainable resources and eco-friendly options as possible.

Although the vast majority of our plant and flower ingredients are acquired locally from organic, biodynamic and ethically wild crafted herb suppliers, Alchemilla is currently in the process of converting our newly acquired property into the Alchemilla Biodynamic Herb Garden. In this space we can closely monitor the cultivation and harvest of our plant ingredients while continuing to gain an even greater understanding of their inherent healing potential.
